These motors are great put one on multiplex stuntmaster great now putting one on west michigan park flyer mcfoamy for some more punch big improvement over what comes on these stock (Posted on 3/31/2018)
Love this motor! Had it on the value hobby SBach 32" EPP and then moved up to the Twisted Hobbies version of that plane and this motor performs great on both. The prop-saver rubber band mounts are horrible and I don't understand why they are the default with most foamies. These threaded shaft motors are so much better for hard 3D flying and won't flop around or come flying off during knife edge spins etc.
I've used this motor a lot for a couple of years - no problems, just oil the bearings once in a while. I'm ordering another one now because I finally face-planted it into asphalt and the mount broke.
I'm running it on 3S with a turnigy plush 12A esc and an apc 8x3.8 SF prop and I LOVE it. Very snappy with good punch for 3D stuff.
Here's a sloppy 3d flight with this setup:

It is comparable to Twisted Hobbys' own 26 gram 1450kv motor. I did a full-throttle wattmeter test, using a Great Planes 8x6 slow fly prop, a 30amp Eflite esc, a 600mAh 3s lipo, and a clone receiver. The test at full throttle shows:
Where else can you get a 2206-class motor with a threaded prop shaft? Only Value Hobby has them. The finish and quality of these motors is equal to, if not better than that other company that sells epp airplanes, and sells their motors for twice the price of Value Hobby's. I use these motors for the Crack Yak and Crack Laser 3d airplanes. (Posted on 5/10/2016)
Bought for the EPP Sabre and it hauls it around with authority on 3S. Easy setup, especially with the longer prop shaft and collet. The one with the prop saver hub was pretty difficult to get a prop on, this one, no problem. Keep these in stock! (Posted on 9/28/2015)
