The S1 Multicopter Control Board is based on KK's popular multicopter firmware, but features on-board switches for selecting desired multicopter configurations and flight modes. Now you can make all adjustments with a screw driver. Connecting to a computer is not necessary.
Controlled by an Atmel Mega168PA 8-Bit RISC based micro controller and utilizing a single 3-axis MEMS gyro the S1 is capable of 8 Multicopter types and 2 flight modes (normal and sport), all without the need to flash the ROM.
The S1 is lighter weight and more compact than most KK or MWC boards, and can fit in almost any size multicopters.
The GT Power S1 Multicopter Control Board supports these multicopter types:
Aero (fixed wing)
Dual copter
Tri copter
Quad copter X
Quad copter +
Hex copter
H6 copter
Y6 copter
All of the multicopter types can be set to "Normal" or "Sport" mode (default normal).

This is my first board for a self made quad and am very pleased with it.Value Overall Quality
Very simple to set up. Yes there are a couple typos in the instructions, but none the less, a very nice board.
Initial set up on my quad was:
Pitch and roll set to aprox. 90%
YAW set to aprox. 75%
went up nice and smooth and just needed a bit of tweeking down just a tad on
both the Pitch and Roll gains.
Keep up the great work Value Hobby!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (big smile)

the board is super easy to setup, just a couple of switchs, lots of frame options and is fairly stable for a first quad or a play around copter.Overall Quality Value

I put this on tricopter, and within a hour I was in the air. No computer needed. Simple well put together and nicely packed. The manual has a few typos but easily understandable. It is what it is. It don't have some of the things that the other boards have. But you can set it up in less than a hour. Trust me, I'm not a computer genius. And I never was able to program the other board. I will probably buy this again when I put my quadcopter together. (Posted on 10/16/2013)Value Overall Quality
