Just started getting back into this hobby after i bought a couple of cars for my kids. Use to own an rc10 team associate model from 1992 still have it doesnt compete with the newer cars. Super quick out of the box only problem will be the steering linkage isnt the greatest updated it to aluminum also, since getting back into starting to do moire update to it in the shocks and the servo. It fun getting back into with the kids am like one myself again. (Posted on 3/26/2017)
I bought this late last year and broke the shocks on my first run. I upgraded to some HPI Blitz shocks and have had no problems since. This is a great little buggy. It's tons of fun and awesome for the price. I recommend getting it but upgrading the shocks. I never write reviews but felt I should recommend this buggy since it's so much fun. It might be my favorite RC out of the 5 I own. (Posted on 2/15/2017)
Great price and buy for size and scale. I read this buggy is actually 1/8th scale; especially since the tires are over 100mm in diameter. After searching various replacement tires I could only find the correct diameter under the 1/8th class.
Buggy is super fun to drive. Good handling and so far very durable. I driven both off and on road and it now with just 3S lipo [2200mah]. Super FAST!
The body is strong but does get scuffed up since it's plastic; as well as the shocks. The left rear shock did leak oil after a big jump. It appears to have around 60wt oil in the rear as I tried 40wt and the dampening is less than stock. The slipper clutch would not grab on 2S lipo and would slip when trying to adjust; it's now fully tight. Parts are easy to find on Valuehobby and the Support Staff is awesome!
Go for it!
-Running with Flysky GT3B and 3ch radio combo.
