flew the cap out of it.even put a hot 32 motor on it. only problem was landing gear and that is always my problem .very hardy plane ,I put a smaller motor on it and gave it to my grandson (reluctantly)he's still flying it.I've had the great planes version and would strongly suggest you look at your wallet and buy this plane instead.every plane I've bought from these people has been a pleasure tofly.thank you value hobby for making these planes available for these prices.I'm retired and you make this hobby affordable. After crashing my sweet stick I was looking for a good replacement.. Saw this on the internet and found value hobbies.Well built Arf...instructions lack details.I also beefed up the firewall and landing gear areas as others suggested...I installed my trusty OS 40 fp as power plant..A little over powered yet still floats in on landings even with 2 ounces of weight on the tail..Quick takeoffs at half throttle...Great little plane for 70.00..Be sure to get the mini servos for ailerons... I used standard servos for the rest just have to trim the servo yray...I will get another yet some experience is a must for the build due to lack of detailed instructions.... (Posted on 9/13/2015)

This is my second review of this plane just got back from the field flying 3 different sticks GP electrostick HK Das Das Ugly stick and this Easy Stick I have to say this one is the best, I fly in a cow pasture very rough I have had to reinforce the GP Electrock Stik landing gear and the HK Das Ugly stick. The Easy Stick is light and floats in very smooth. I love to fly this Stick if I ever crash it I will buy another ARF (Posted on 8/29/2015)
Great flying - as expected because it is a 'Stick' Review by Lee

Two years usage now; E-max GT2820/04 brushless motor E-Max ESC and 3 cell 2200MaH batt. Landing gear mounting must be reinforced, also I use one that has larger contact area to spread loads to mounting surface. Push rod(s) housing/sleeves installed like a snake causing major binding of wire pushrod, I changed to ni-rods. Because built for electric I changed front hatch to hinge(fiberglass bi-directional tape) and magnet for easy battery exchange. Changed some of the other hdwr. as almost impossible to use/assemble. Maybe some of these issues have been corrected. Still ... if you have a good background & know what you need to correct, way faster than building a kit & lower cost. Will get another for spare when notified of sale. (Posted on 6/4/2015)

Good quality kit. Some experience will be helpful. Be sure to order the recommended servos. Default is foe nitro power so adapter for electric needed. I built one to work for me.
Agree with others that the landing gear area needs reinforcement. (Posted on 2/2/2015)
Not all off the shelf servos will work Review by Dave

First I am still in the building process because I needed to order Tork brand servos. Even though I had a supply of micro Hitech servos in my bin, the mounting hole span was too wide them. My have 27mm span and the plane was set up for a mounting span of 35mm as minimum. Also, at one time the recommended servo for the elevator and rudder were standard size. The plane now has been resized for the Tork micro servos. Same span problem as the servos in the wing so off the shelf won't fit.

Biggest problem to me is the fact that the instructions lacked clariety. Pictures shown are not consistent with the actual parts needed for the build. No instruction as to how to use (or if needed) the electric motor mounting adapter. Again, the photos show motor mounted with no adapter used even though there is one supplied with the kit.

If you have some experience you will probably be Okay. All could be improved if the servos needed were at least supplied since it would only add $20 dollars or so to the price. You will need to buy the right size servos anyway.

Once complete it should be a fun machine to fly. Looking forward to its completion. (Posted on 1/30/2015)

Put this plane together in a few nights, ready for the weekend. Touched it off, tracked straight as ever, up she went, NICE.. were my first thoughts, a few clicks, trimmed in. WOW.. very nice, it is one I bring out every time I go to the field. All I can say, GET IT.. great easy flyer, beginners, you go for it too.
The only negative, don't go inverted, it doesn't like it, rolls, 360's are good. (Posted on 8/12/2014)
Great fun Review by PD

This little Stick is great fun. It is significantly more agile than the Stylus 60 I have and flies better with expo at about 25%. It handles the wind well. On low rates with expo makes a good second plane.

The packaging was good and covering was perfect. The supplied control rods are tight to fit, but work. Build was very easy; this was my first (of many) ARF. My second one took about 6h to assemble. Fast fun work.

I strongly advise adding tri-stock / epoxy to strengthen the firewall and landing gear (LG) areas before they break. The stock LG is narrow at the attachment area and seems to rip off easily. I replaced mine with a UC with wider attachment for better force distribution. The supplied 1" wheels are not good for grass. I use 2.75" with few problems.

I used a OS .46 LA as I had it available. The LA only weighs 1oz more than a OS 25 FX and is much more powerful than the .25 FX. It really doesn't need or benefit from the .46. Vertical is unlimited (and overrated).

Landings are faster than either a trainer or my Stylus 60, but easy all the same.

So, with some modifications (Tristock/epoxy, LG, larger wheels) this is great fun. It fits in my trunk of my compact sedan without lowering the seats. It is a great plane that I think I'll always have one of.

NICE, EASY FLYER Review by Thomas

Just gotta love this little plane. Takes off in 15 foot, taxies straight, have a tacon 32 on it, with a 12/6 MasterScrew, 80 amp esc, because I had all of this. Running on a 3300 4 cell. It is not for doing rolls or even inverted, doesn't like it. but for a fun quick 180 flips and fast low passes.. does great. For a first time tail dragger trainer, would be a good one to learn on. Downs fall, are the joints, re-enforce the joints that you can reach with epoxy, around the landing gear too, don't get any in the t-nuts.
Another, the battery hatch, wish they had magnets instead of the 2 screws, I used one slightly larger screw in the center. All in All.... very nice 48" flyer. (Posted on 7/29/2014)

I bought one of these and kitted it up with a turnigy 3530 1100 kv motor, 10 x 6 prop, and a 3s 2200 lipo. Let me tell you, this is a nice flying little plane. It flies like a trainer if you want it to, but is impressively acrobatic when you want that. Does nice loops, rolls, and inverted flight is a breeze. It can fly fast, it can fly slow, and is an easy lander. Only negative I have is where the landing gear is attached. I ripped mine out clean on a bad hop on landing. You may want to beef that area up with an extra piece of plywood. I did that when I glued mine back together. Been flying it for two years now and not another mishap, even with several less than stellar landings. Its easy to fit in the back seat too! I find this to be one of the first planes I grab when I head for the field. (Posted on 7/21/2014)

I have a friend who has two of these set up with 4s battery and a 25 motor and he loves it and it flies great! So I had a .28 thunder tiger motor and ordered this red Barron plane and what a combo!! It is very fast yet capable of slow flight and landing. Very easy to build and looks great. I am looking hard at the 40 size easy stick and using a 52 magnum 4 cycle. You can not go wrong with this plane it is a really great deal. I do not see how VH keeps them in stock SO get Yours. You will nor regret it. Thanks VH, Keep It up. (Posted on 11/13/2013)
