This is a sports plane for intermediate modelers. All-balsa wood construction, no foam parts! Pre-covered in classic Ugly Stik trim scheme. This plane features removable fuselage hatch so you can easily access the inside of the fuselage.
This plane includes everything you need to get it fly except the transmitter/receiver and battery. G15(3542-1200KV) brushless outrunner motor, 80A ESC, and 4 servos are pre-installed in this plane. We also attached the control horns to the control surfaces. This makes the assembly easier.
12'' prop and Y-harness are included in the kit.

The Stik is a great looking plane & the finish is quite nice. The build wasn't any problem & the instructions were decent, albeit there was no data for setting up the ESC. The ESC failed on mine when setting up & was very hot when trying to initiate the throttle indicating that an internal component failed. Not too happy with having to replace an 80A ESC. I have to wait for a new ESC(got a Turnigy) before I can maiden this plane. I'll attempt to contact the seller to see if they are willing to make it right. The plane came double boxed & in perfect condition when it was delivered. VH has really great shipping time. The instructions were decent with pics that provided enough detail to finish without any issues. The size is great. I didn't like the (2) screws that held the battery bay cover in place & having to remove them each battery change. I added a second piece of 3/4"W 1/8" ply in front of the existing hatch ply & epoxied in (2) 3/8" Sq Neo magnets into the 3/4" ply. Then I epoxied on a thin strip(hacksaw blade w/teeth removed) of 1/2"W steel to the hatch. Much better & extremely strong. I painted the motor mount red & fabricated a neat perforated aluminum cowl to cover it...looks so much better. The overall assembly was an easy job to do. I do recommend this model for those who like balsa & being a PNP makes it great. Looking forward to the maiden. (Posted on 6/29/2016)Quality Value Overall
