First off, this is the "-II" version, which is completely updated to allow communication with the DJT module in either mode (set by the DJT module dip switches). Once you go through the binding process, all you have to do is set the failsafe and it's ready to go at 100%. Range is outstanding -- I had a 2-meter glider flying at maximum range (at least 1000-1500 feet) without any problems.
I have this installed in a small DLG and it fits small spaces beautifully. Weighs only 2.6 grams and has a single short antenna, so placement isn't an issue.
If I didn't need Tx signal strength range feedback, I would use this Rx all the time. The only reason to upgrade to the D-series is if you want signal strength feedback.
