installed motor in the Minimoa and Phoenix 2000 gliders. the motor was powerful enough to propel the Minimoa up high no problem. i could barely see the plane it was so high. and what a magnificent site to see the gull like wings of this glider descending. upon landing the motor and esc was not hot. i used a 2200 40c 3s lipo i bought here and modified the mount to fit this motor.
the phoenix 2000. burned out several 400 motors with this plane. A 60 gram motor is the perfect balance but the motor can't handle the size and weight of this plane. the result is burnt motors. tried this motor which is a 450 and 68 grams. took the plane up high with less than full throttle. since the motor was new, i used about 80% throttle and below. this motor is good with this plane. it wasn't hot with no burnt smell, just motor warm i'm impressed with the quality and overall performance of this motor. one motor out of 3 was bad. trying to fix the motor. unquestionably the best of all the motors I've tried for the phoenix 2000.

I ordered two of these and they perform great with plenty of power and smooth performance, the bearings are nice and smooth and no slop in them..Put one my Ft Storch and one on my Ft Spear both running 30A esc flying on 4s 2200 pack turning a 9'' prop and the motors on both planes come down barely warm after the flight..Can't comment on the longevity cause i have only a few flights on both but thus far seem to be a win win for the price..Will defiantly order more for future builds like the Ft
explorer or the Bush wacker i am currently building...
You wont be disappointed with this motor....
