I use a FrSky X4R-SB receiver so I can get telemetry from the flight controller back to my transmitter. Telemetry does not work if you use UART1 as shown for most wiring diagrams for a KissFC. However, if you use UART3 on the bottom of the board (use the TX pad), it does work. Hook it up this way and then Delete All Sensors and Discover New Sensors on your Taranis transmitter and the telemetry from the FC will appear. (Posted on 6/29/2017)

I needed to upgrade my flight controllers from F1 processors(Naze32, etc) since Betaflight is dropping support for them soon. I ordered two of these Kiss FC clones and received then in four days (with standard shipping)!
The boards connected to BetaFlight with no problem. The controllers are pre-flashed with BetaFlight but it is an older version. I tried upgrading the boards for several days using various utilities (DfuSe Demo from STM, dfu-util, BetaFlight, etc) and different drivers with no success. Some tools would report success but when connected to BetaFlight the old version was still there. I finally downloaded the actual Kiss FC software from the Chrome store. The actual Kiss FC software would not connect to the board (as expected) but it apparently installed the correct drivers. When I connected the board to BetaFlight in bootloader mode, the connection showed as DFU. I then went to the flash utility in BetaFlight, downloaded the latest version of the software for the Kiss FC and it flashed successfully. BetaFlight now reports the latest version installed.
My quads seem much more “locked in” with these controllers. PID tuning was very easy also. They are quite an improvement over my old boards.

I ordered two and received them in 4 days (with standard shipping)! The controllers are pre-flashed with Betaflight but it is an older version. I tried for several days using various tools (DFUseDemo, DFU Flasher, BetaFlight) and drivers to upgrade to the latest version of BetaFlight with no success. Some tools reported a successful flash but when connected to BetaFlight the older version was still there. I finally downloaded the KissFC software from the Chrome store. The KissFC software would not connect to the board since it is a clone but it apparently downloaded and installed the correct drivers. The next time I connected the controller to BetaFlight in bootloader mode, it showed DFU where the com port is usually shown. I went to the flash utility, downloaded the latest version for the KissFC and it flashed sucessfully. BetaFlight now reports it is running the latest version of the software.

I'm very impressed with the controller. My quads seem locked in like never before. PID tuning was very easy also. (Posted on 6/20/2017)
