I had the same problems that everyone did. I was using a 6 cell battery. I finally tried a 4 cell (much lighter) fairly forward and it fixed the climbing problem while under power. For the price there is no way to beat this. A little patience will help. It also helped to add some rudder mix with the ailerons. (Posted on 2/12/2019)

The build for the most part was very easy and enjoyable. The instructions are a bit vague with regard to mounting the struts and setting up the motor mount for electric power. There does appear to be some right thrust built into the plane, but it needs more down thrust added. The holes to mount the e motor box did not line up exactly with the holes in the firewall, I had to do a bit of slotting to make them fit correctly. Also, the wheel collars were missing in my hardware bag. Not a big deal, but surprising since otherwise this really a very nice kit, especially for the money. I was able to finish the build in a week's worth of evenings, and with the G32 motor, and a Gforce 4000mAH 4 S battery, the CG came in at the recommended location without adding weight.

The maiden flight was a bit spooky however. The plane acted like it was a bit tail heavy, and constantly wanted to climb during power and turns. I was able to trim it to fly straight, and for the next flight I plan to add some downthrust to the motor, along with moving the CG to 30%, or 75mm. Take offs and landings were pretty easy though, even with the initial set up. The plane glides well, and looks good in the air. This is my first ARF after flying many foam planes, and has been fun to get set up. I am hoping with the two changes noted above that the next flight will be smoother. Overall, I would definitely recommend this plane to a friend, but you do need a bit of experience to build it as the instructions are pretty vague in some areas. (Posted on 8/20/2015)

Very nice scale outline and great covering, with absolutely NO wrinkles, even after several months. I powered mine with a Magnum .52 4 stroke, mounted inverted. On the test flight it immediately began to bank left, and no matter the right aileron input, it only made it worse (adverse yaw). Managed to save the plane by adding right rudder to level it and made a good landing. Took it home, and put each aileron on a separate servo with aileron differential and set up a mix to couple rudder to the ailerons too. Flew it again the next morning, and it was like a different plane. Climb out was straight and level, and it turned left great, but still had a little problem going right, but manageable (I think it needs some right thrust). It almost lands itself, but will ground-loop if you aren't careful. I plan to add some washers under the left side of the engine mount to give it a little right thrust and I hope that will finish the trimming and tweaking. All in all, its a fun little plane. This will be short, do not put any right incidence on the engine mount it is already there, only about 2 degrees down is needed, also use differential aileron throws and rudder mix for easier flight, if you do not this airplane flies very scale with rudder needed at all times. Once I got it all dialed in it flies great, oh almost forgot use at least 30-40 expo on elevators,
Put small screws on strut mounting hardware on bottom of struts so it does not pull apart

Very good quality airplane, assembly time was about 5 hours from box to flying. comes standard with electric or nitro setup, I opted for nitro and went with an ASP 40. which mounted very nicely, It also gives a very clean look with the exhaust mounted though the bottom of the cowl. I did have to add some weight to the tail 4 oz, it was a little nose heavy. As for first flight, it was very nice no surprises, once trimmed this plane will land itself. (Posted on 10/4/2014)

Plane was easy to assembly with amazing quality considering it price. Too bad I couldn't get it to fly as good as it looks. First panic was when I tried to turn and it just turned sideways. Quickly found that without rudder it would just keep going straight. It also wouldn't fly smoothly it keep me in a state of panic as in an accident ready to happen. After barely getting it back I made a few adjustments and it fly the same. After finally getting it back in one piece I hung it in the garage as a display. (Posted on 9/2/2014)

Nicely packaged with all parts intact. Nice covering job with no wrinkles. Did not like the supplied clevis that required nut and bolt to close them, I used my own. No mention what so ever in the instructions on how to put the wing struts on. Fortunately I have built a few planes so I knew how. First put E-Flite 46 motor in because I had one laying around with 5cell lipo but feels to heavy. Have recommended 32 size on order. Overall happy with plane and hope to fly it soon. The build was very simple,except for a few references the manual was not really necessary. Total build time was around five hours. I'm using the Value Hobby recommended power system except for the ESC which is a Grayson 100 amp,and a 4 cell 4500 mah lipo. Plane is very powerful, excellent flight at all speeds, capable of aerobatics and realistic scale flight. (Posted on 6/23/2013)
