Great MJX F645 mod(Posted on December 27, 2012) I saw a youtube video of someone who used this motor so I tried it in my F645/F45 MJX. Its much larger than the stock brushed motor. I had to dremmel away the edges of the mount to let it fit as well as bend the sides of the frame with the larger diameter. I had to drill out larger holes with a seperate pinion gear I ordered. I'm not sure if the shaft really wasn't 2.3mm, or if the pinion gear was wrong. either way I was able to drill out the hole bigger and it works. I used the Skywalker 20A ESC. Now I need a larger battery. The stock 1500mah works but a higher quality 2200mah will give me more fly time. This motor allows me to lift a gopro hero 3 with "The Frame" with no problem. Without the gopro the heli is dangerously powerful. |
