Great buy.(Posted on March 19, 2014) I use this power supply with a Turnigy Mega 200W x 2 charger, and I am completely happy with the setup. Design: The positive and negative terminals are smartly protected with plastic covers to prevent shorts, but the covers still allow access to bullet connectors for your charger of choice. Conveniently, the fan vents are not on top of the case, so when I sit my charger on top of the supply, there are no cooling problems whatsoever. The fan is a lot quieter than I expected from a 600W power supply. Use: I use it in an apartment, and when I turn it on in the same room as my PC, there is a rippling effect across my flatscreen monitor. Videos look strange, but I can still use it easily. Honestly, who cares? It's a 600W power supply under $80! A proper RC workbench belongs in a garage/shop anyway. I've never had a problem with this great power supply. and I expect it will be a fixture on my workbench for years to come. |

too powerful(Posted on December 23, 2012) Although this is a very powerful power supply, it cannot be used with 12 volt individual DC chargers. I have three different DC chargers (Great Planes, and Hobbico) and neither one of them will work off of this power supply. I get the same error message........too much voltage. A switch or dial to control the voltage would have helped greatly. I have a multi charger and will attempt to use it there. If I get the same warning error and it does not work there,..............does anybody want to purchase mine?? |
