Works, but a bit too floppy(Posted on January 24, 2014) Used this in a plane that was pushing close to 200w and I had issues with it. It would work fine at slower speeds but when pushed hard the cone would flex and become out of round causing severe vibration issues. It took me quite some time to figure out the vibration issue and once the spinner was removed all was well. During a bench test, as throttle was ramped up, I could see the cone slowly flex and expand out where it wasn't being held down by the screws. If it had 4 screws instead of just 2 holding the cone to the backplate it would probably be fine, but it doesn't. The motor was a 1200kv running on 3s. I think it would be fine for a 2s setup or lower kv motor, but it didn't work well for me. |
