tower pro sg92r servo(Posted on May 15, 2013) Bought these to replace the white geared version of tower pro 9g servo, these are noticeably and don't stall on my 3d planes, over all I'm pleased with the performance and I order a handful everything?e I place a value hobby order, only reason for 4 star is I've had two that were twitchy out of the box |

Great servo for the price(Posted on February 1, 2013) I bought several of these servos for use on the swash of a 250 sized heli and various scratch built airplanes. For the price, they are excellent. They are advertised as being slightly faster and stronger than the comparable (but cheaper) SG90, and I can't dispute that. They do seem to be stronger and faster, though I don't have the equipment to measure it objectively. They are also advertised as "carbon gear", but to me it just seems like black plastic. I can't tell if they are much different from the white nylon gears in the SG90s. Time will tell if they hold up better in a crash. The only problem I have with them is that they seem to have poor resolution, and are a bit "notchy". Rather than being perfectly smooth across the whole range of travel, they seem to jump a bit from one position to the other. It doesn't seem to affect anything at all, and they still perform great, I just wasn't expecting it. Overall, I'd recommend them and they perform great. If you think you need a little more force than the standard SG90, these are a great alternative and only about $1 extra. |
