goof first jet, east to land, not going to set any speed records(Posted on December 15, 2012) I own all the EPO Value Hobby jets. This one would be a good starter jet. I did not install the landing gear. I hand launch from an elevated bank. Make sure throttle is full speed. This jet is a little under powered. I used a 1300mah battery inserted as far front as possible in the battery compartment. You can cut the throttle to 3/4 once you get it up and it becomes an easy slow flyer. Landings are a piece of cake. Grass landings are good for this model without the landing gear. Just add a little tape to the bottom of the plane. Very stable in flight. If you want more speed pick the stinger (my favorite). The F9F is also a great choice. I never had much luck getting the Mig15 to balance properly. The 1300 mah pack gets quite warm at full power all the time. Flight times are not great on a 1300 mah pack but you will have fun. Since it is easy to land and launch, I don't take any starts away for this. The EPO form seems pretty strong. I rank this my third favorite, Stinger first, F9F second. |
