Good bateries when weight is more important than cost(Posted on August 4, 2013) I bought 2 of these batteries and 2 zippy compact 2700 25c. I am flying these is a 3DHS 48" Super Viper. Custom wound Motorfly 2815 with a 12x6 CF 38.5 amps (560 watts) I am hot pushing the motor or esc very hard. I wanted a very light flying sport/pattern plane. The G-force batters are not being pushed very hard. C rating is much higher than I am using. The batteries are very light for there size and C rating. I charge them on a parallel board. The came shipped at storage charge and all cells were equal. They charge great and all cells have the same voltage. I fly them for 9 mins of aerobatic flight and they come down very cool. Im not sure what the max charge rate is but I do not exceed 2C The Zippys perform well but the big difference is they come down pretty warm. I feel like I am pushing them with the 38.5 amp draw Summary is I bought 4 more of the G-force batteries and have not intention of buying more Zippys for this plane. |
