5 Cell Hard Case 60C 5000 Mah(Posted on May 22, 2018) This probably will blow the warranty, but what the heck. Several of us in my club run 5 cell batteries in EDF's and multi planes. A very demanding application. Without details, I upped the ESC size on a four cell EDF jet and tested using a "buddy's" battery at 5 cells. OH YEAH......Uh....."somewhere north of 80 amps" with buddy's battery. Not Mine, sure, why not!? In the past I have had good experience with Value Hobby and wanted to try the 60C battery. Ordered the 5 Cell Hard Case 60C 5000 Mah for lower weight than his HK Nano battery and higher C rating. His HK rated at 20-50C, whatever that means. Using his "Slightly over powered twin motor model" we connected watt meters and cell volt meters to the batteries. HK Nano tech.......voltage instantly dropped to 3.8 volts and produced 1430 watts Value battery, held 4.16 volts at "North of 80 amps" or just over 1560 watts, also lighter than HK battery. Test 15 seconds long. Put in my EDF and went straight up. No complaints at all with Value Hobby products or support. |

Great Batteries PERIOD(Posted on June 8, 2015) These are really good batteries. I have 2 5S packs from ValueHobby. One of them is a soft case 5S 5000 mAh 60C and my other battery is this one. My older soft pack has a quite a few runs and it still runs like it's brand new. The charges last a long time and they're small in size for a 5S with this much capacity. These batteries are a fantastic value. One thing I really like about this particular battery is the fact that it has a plastic protective wrap around the hard casing of the battery. I have never liked hard cases because the casing has always seemed to crack and then you have to tape it and it's horrible. But this battery is awesome. The casing seems very well made and I actually recommended one these batteries to guy I sold one of my RC cars to. I can't find a better price and I'm very pleased with the performance. I ran this battery in my Mugen MBX6 ECO buggy with a Tekin T8 RX8 combo running a 44t spur and a 17t pinion with timing set at 3 on the ESC and I was able to top it out at 58 MPH which is great for a big vehicle that weighs as much as my car does. So this was just great. |

Best hardcase 5s Lipo on the net(Posted on October 4, 2014) I have owned three of these battery packs for about three weeks, approximately four to five runs through each. It is early days to speak to their longevity but they perform great and balance charge well. They are the size of a standard Roar approved hard case 4s pack or two Roar approved hard case 2s packs set side by side. This allows you to get 5s power in 4s form factor and at 5000mah they have good run times. The price is great a $65 dollars. If they last, these are one of the best values in hard case, ROAR 4s sized 5s packs on the net. Hope they come back in stock soon, I want more! |
