In response to Very powerful motor - 3/3/2014(Posted on May 19, 2014) You should not need an ESC rated at more than 12A. If your present motor and ESC is not the problem is most likely the prop. When you are using a three cell battery you have to use a smaller prop compared to a two cell battery. Most every motor will have recommended prop sizes depending on the battery voltage. Hope this helps. See my review from 5/2/2014. |

Excellent small motor(Posted on May 3, 2014) Very impressed. Quiet, smooth, and strong. Hoovers my Value Hobby EPP Red Bull at 2/3 throttle. The Red Bull came out to a flying weight of 257 G. The motor is putting out 360G of pulling power with a 8.45 GP (similar to a GWS) prop, 7.4V, 800mA battery, and a 12A ESC. The configuration works very well for this plane. Getting about 12 to 15 minutes to a flight and I run it hard. All this and still only slightly warm. It is 1 1/2 times more powerful than my best 2204 motor at about the same size and weight for just a little more money. |

very nice motor(Posted on March 12, 2014) I fly this motor in 2 planes on 3cell 500 30c and 800 25c ,hobywing 10 amp esc no heat problems. Very nice motors comparable to twisted hobby motors at half price. I fly them in a twisted hobby crack beaver and value hobby 32in. Sbach.can't beat em. |

Very powerful motor(Posted on March 4, 2014) I bought this for use on Value Hobby's: 32in Sbach 342 ARF (8mm EPP) and on 2S its powerful enough for unlimited vertical with a 2cel 1000mah hooked up to an FMS 20amp ESC. I tried it on 3S but the motor/ESC/Battery all got hot, so I am left to assume the ESC was not up to task. I tried programming the ESC but it came with no instructions, and value hobby has no reference of how many amp esc is needed to run it on 3S. I doubt it needs an esc thats more then 20amps, so If anyone else comes up with an esc thats compatible to run it on 3S please write it in a review. Great motor, highly recommend due to its power. |
