This is a nice little airplane and a lot of fun to fly. Don't expect to fly it off of a grass runway. (Posted on April 29, 2016) Overall I was pleased. Unfortunately one of the retracts that was installed did not extended fully. I believe it was a 75° retract and not a 90° retract that came factory installed on one side. I ended up ordering a replacement retract from another retailer. This required a little bit of modification to reinstall the retract wire harness. I also found that the retracts were sensitive to endpoint adjustments in the transmitter. I ended up moving the center of gravity slightly farther aft than what was recommended in the instruction manual. Flight performance was good and very scale. The airplane did have a tendency to nose over in the grass. I think it would be very difficult if not impossible to make a good take off from a grass strip. It is easy to take off and land on pavement and a lot of fun to fly. My only frustration was the wrong landing gear retract mechanism that came installed and slow technical support from value hobby. |
