Shaft size?(Posted on July 8, 2016) While there is nothing at all wrong with this motor, the "detail" section of the on-line catalog has an error. I am in the process of building a new airplane and needed this motor. I checked the specs and ordered it and a couple of prop adapters to use on it. The spec sheet shows a 3.17mm shaft. The motor that was delivered is marked properly as the one I ordered but the prop adapters would not fit. It turns out that the shaft on this motor is a nominal 4mm shaft. Not a big deal but one that should not have happened. I will be contacting Value Hobby about this. |

Nice motor for the price(Posted on June 10, 2016) I have this on a scratch built plane similar to a Park Master. The plane weight under two pounds. I get 5 minute flights on a 2200 3 cell 30c. Running a 30amp esc and a 9 x 3.7 prop. The last minute it is sluggish but is perfect for landing. Nice motor for this application. |
