Really nice receiver for the serious glider pilot(Posted on July 4, 2018) My son and I have multiples of these now and I am buying more. None of them have failed, we experience very good range with no dropouts. It goes in most fuselages due to the pin configuration. The vario resolution is remarkable, and you cant beat the price. I can only speak to using it with the Taranis X9D plus transmitter. Be sure to look for and preferably use the little black pin protector that comes with the Rx for unused ports. A Taranis transmitter will need the (not sure what its called) audio software update or mine (correctly) reported altitude but called it something other than feet when asked without the update. Not a fault of the Rx. The vario tone is just like what you get in a real professional glider, at least the two I have experienced well into the past. Aside: I was fortunate to have my son who is quite technical, set up this particular transmitter. And the third party user manual is very helpful for the Taranis. |
