I built this for a UAV using an APM 2.6. I recommend a 8 x 4.7 prop with a 800 kV motor for this application. I get 60 minute flights with 2x2200 mAh batteries in parallel. I have owned a couple Bixler 1.1s, but what I like better about this kit is the hardware and the layout. It is much better suited for a UAV. The Bixler doesn't have enough flat surface area on the bottom for mounting the APM and batteries. This plane would make a great trainer, and has a lot of performance as well.
