Cool - looking plane and it flies well. It seems to me to be a little bit too touchy to be called a trainer. I would call it an intermediate trainer. You should have basic flying skills down before you fly it and use expo to make it easier to fly when you start. It seems to have adequate power and can do most sport aerobatics. The nose gear seems to be weak and you must land it carefully or make it more sturdy before you fly. Flown it in fairly windy conditions and it does pretty well. Would definitely recommend it; especially with the great price from Value Hobby.
