This is a product already put togeather,A+, it has been setup for you,A+. i put a transmitter and receiver for a hellimax form 500 ,knowing it was not correct meaning throttle springs to center point, and i held down while turn on , and let up slowly on throttle and it flew like a dream , then the correct receiver and trans came in the mail few days later changed them out , and it flew as it should. the only thing i saw that was a negative was electrical tape held the ESCs to the arms, No Big Deal !!! to me i got lots a zipties. all n all great buy!. would and will recommend to friends and all others you will need transmitter and receiver, 3s battery and charger . i used a gforce 40c 2200mah 3s and it had plenty of power and flight time, trans an receiver i used was a AT9 trans and R9DS receiver. i also agree with the first review it is not a starter quad, adult supervision is a must!!!!! Just as I had finished building a 250 from parts, I found this ready to fly quad costing less than the one I built. I figured if nothing else I could use it for parts. I used librepilot to sync my receiver to the flight controller making sure all the controls acted properly ,I had to reverse 2. Now I am a crappy quad pilot, but after a while I can get a full battery flight. Someone mentioned the flight controller was incorrectly installed but it is possible in the program to easily turn the FC 90 degrees so the mini usb can be easily accessed. My problem is that motor #4 has always had bearing noise and I can't find a replacement motor that I know will match (FPVpower 2204 2300kv) IF I can't replace it , buying 4 matching motors is not cost effective. So now I'm back to parts. What I didn't like from the getgo was the lack of a power distribution board just power leads soldered together, reversed threads on two of the motors instead of lock nuts. Sometimes it flies fine then next time it can't get off the ground ,but that maybe that's the motor. I learned a lot from this quad on what to expect and that the one I built flies just as well. OK let me say this is NOT for beginner pilots or new to the hobby. There are NO setup instructions of any kind, Just a quad and spare props ,zip ties, allen wrench, and fpv antenna. That's it.
I have been in fixed wing for 10 years and dabbled in entry level micro quads.
I could NOT get it to ARM by hooking up my receiver....
This thing took me 2 solid 5hr days to even get the motors to spin. It was assembled wrong and very loose, you have to tighten every screw and nut. the control board was pointed in the wrong direction, there is an arrow that HAS TO face forward.
the camera was in upside down and the fpv transmitter has to be moved to get the antenna on. Also mine had a bent motor shaft right out of the box!
NOW the tech.. You have2 download software to get this thing to even arm, I am using Librepilot but I think CleanFlight works also.. Hook it to your computer via usb to mini-usb and follow the directions for setup.. if using Librepilot DO NOT plug it in until right after clicking on the UPGRADE icon, there is a wiring diagram for the receiver on one of the 4th setup page, Now it flys nice BUT it needs a lot of tuning, I think, Im not Charpu. Its stable, nice power and FAST, to much so for me. I had to dumb it down ALOT... Im only flying line of sight right now. (Posted on 7/25/2016)
