Already on my second Z84 wing. Is always part of my fleet when at the field. A must upgrade is a 40 amp ESC and the Turnigy 2826 2200kv motor; on 5.5x4.5 prop. Super fun and fast!!
Dropped the little 2800kv $7 EMAX in it. Ballistic speed, unlimited vertical and still light enough to float around. Highly recommend a 5x5 prop and this motor for this guy. Stock setup was a bit anemic. (Posted on 7/17/2014)
Great foam quality and finish. STABLE Impressed by how slow and close I can fly it. I live in Kansas and bought this for the windy days when my edfs, gliders, and quads are grounded. It can handle the wind and I've sloped it at a nearby lake. Only complaint is the slight horizontal wobble whenever it is slow/low power with a crosswind. My ancient original zagi did the same thing. I'm considering a simple winglet mod I found on youtube to combat it.
Great shipping and packing as always. Third order and fourth plane from Value. Only thing I want that they dont have is more inventory! Bigger fms and freewing planes/edfs please! Also would love a few more DSM2/DSMX receivers to choose from. Keep the great service coming! (Posted on 5/23/2014)
Update to my last review. This plane is one of a kind. Very fast on 3S lipos and can glide down easily. I originally thought the propeller collet was loose but it was a bad ESC, which Valuehobby is resolving/replacing for me.
I definately recommend this plane if you are a novice to intermediate+ flyer. I've used from 1300 2S - 1300 3S. Hand launching is easy.
Overall very stable and easy to fly. Have only flown with partial throttle, yet to try full speed due to the propeller collet adapter being loose from the factory. Learned that the two screws that hold the propeller down [rubber band] needed to be tightened. Looks and sounds amazing.
I started with the 3rd hole on the wing servo and the outer most hole on the control horn, which was very tame. Plane will work with both 2 or 3 Cell lipos; but of course 3S for the most power!
