- 6s capable! Review by Todd
-
I bought this because I wanted to use 5s and 6s in my 1/8 buggy. First of all, this esc is massive! It's at least double the size of my Hobbywing wpsc8 and just barely fits into my 1/8 Thunder Tiger EB4G3. That being said, this esc is fantastic! It will not even get warm while running 6s in my buggy. I've been running it for a few months now and it's never been over 90F. It comes with all the wires you'll need to be up and running as well as a lot of heatshrink and double-sided tape. This esc is easily programmed without a card or pc, so no extra expense to access all of the features of this esc. Just push the little button and count flashes/beeps, it's very easy. Start-up is very smooth, in fact the whole throttle range is very smooth. The brakes are extremely strong, I turned down max. brake force to 25% and this is plenty. The only problem I had was when I went to use 5s it would recognize it as 6s and hit lvc as soon as I went to drive! Turns out you have to manually set the esc to 5s when you want to run 5s. No big deal, I just didn't know. So, if you're looking for a very reliable esc that is 6s capable (all day) this would be a great choice, just make sure you have enough room for it!
